Check the terminal on your ticket before you load the car. Orlando International now runs Terminals A, B and C, and the newest, Terminal C, serves both domestic and international airlines, with an automated people mover linking it to the other two. MCO isn't on our list of five pricing gateways. That leaves two ways to start: an international routing from MCO itself, or a hop to a gateway city for the long leg. If leaving from Orlando raises the airfare, the team tells you the exact amount before anything is booked. MCO also lets you book a time slot for security, which helps on a morning with a family's worth of luggage.

A few families founded the Islamic Society of Central Florida in 1973, hoping at first simply to pray together. By the society's account, the first official masjid in Central Florida went up on Goldenrod Road around 1985 and was later named Masjid Al-Rahman. The society names each of its masjids after one of the 99 names of Allah. The nationalities of its imams include American, Turkish, Somali, Syrian, Guyanese, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Moroccan and Egyptian, and it also runs Leaders Preparatory School and the Rawdat Al-Salam cemetery.
Getting to Makkah from Orlando
Work backward from the terminal. Terminal C and Terminals A and B are connected by a short people mover ride, but you still want to pull up at the right one with your bags. If you have a security slot booked through MCO Reserve, time your arrival around it rather than the other way round.
The flights come next. A routing can connect straight from MCO through a Turkish, European or Gulf hub. Or it can open with a domestic leg to a priced gateway. Atlanta is the nearest of the five, with Washington Dulles and New York JFK farther north. Which works better depends on the schedules for your dates, and the honest comparison is total travel time and layover length, not the number of stops alone.
Expect the flying and the waiting together to fill 17 to 24 hours or so before you land in Jeddah. A domestic first leg adds a connection, so leave generous time between flights. One late departure out of Orlando can cost you the long-haul leg.
Book a security time with MCO Reserve
MCO Reserve is a free service for passengers without TSA PreCheck or CLEAR+, and it lets you book a time to go through security up to seven days ahead. Terminals A, B and C each have dedicated lanes, with a limited number of slots each day. The hours differ. Terminal C's lanes run from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for flights leaving between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., while A and B close at 5 p.m. Book as soon as your flight falls inside the seven-day window.
SunRail riders reach the airport by bus
SunRail runs through Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties, and the airport says a bus link connects its Sand Lake Road Station with MCO. Living near a SunRail stop? That link can save leaving a car at the airport for the length of the trip. Allow for the transfer, though, and for moving luggage on and off two vehicles. The airport's own train station sits next to Terminal C, and that's where the people mover to Terminals A and B departs.
Jet lag is a seven-hour problem
From Orlando, jet lag is mostly a seven-hour problem. That's how far the city sits behind Makkah between March 8 and November 1 in 2026, while Florida is on daylight saving time. In winter it grows to eight hours, because Makkah stays on UTC+3 year-round. After a long crossing and a connection, a mid-afternoon arrival can feel like the start of the morning, and that combination hits hard. Try to sleep on the long leg during Makkah's night hours, eat on Makkah time once you board, and keep your first evening quiet.

Umrah from Orlando: questions
That depends on the airline operating your first flight, so check your ticket. MCO says Terminal C has 15 gates and serves both domestic and international airlines. Terminals A and B are linked to it by the South Terminal Link, an automated people mover with a ride of about four minutes. If the trip starts by flying up to a gateway such as Atlanta, that first flight could leave from any of the three. A mix-up is fixable, but it eats into your time.
Sometimes. Parking Garage C, on the South Entrance Road next to the people mover station, offers remote check-in for domestic flights on select carriers. It runs from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and you need to be there at least 90 minutes before departure. That only helps when the trip opens with a domestic flight and your airline takes part. The garage has 1,690 spaces, and there are surface lots within walking distance of Terminal C near the Brightline station.
