Umrah Packages from Boston
Flight-inclusive Umrah for pilgrims from Greater Boston, departing via BOS.
Umrah from Boston made simple
Logan Express buses, the Silver Line and the Blue Line all feed the airport, so reaching Logan is rarely the hard part. The booking needs a little more thought. Our airfare is priced from five US gateways and Logan isn't among them; the closest is JFK. That means an Umrah trip from here usually involves a short flight to a gateway or a connection from BOS itself. That extra leg may raise the airfare, and you'll have the confirmed figure from the team before you book anything. It's a small extra step, and it's worth doing early, since the answer can change which dates look best.

Routing
From BOS, plan on a short hop to a priced gateway or a connection from Logan itself; any extra airfare is confirmed in advance.
Community
The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, on Malcolm X Boulevard in Roxbury, calls itself the largest mosque in New England. It opened in 2009 and says about 1,700 people come to Friday prayers, while on the Eids its parent society holds several sessions, with other local mosques, for roughly 10,000 worshipers. The society also runs a mosque on Prospect Street in Cambridge. The 2020 US Religion Census estimated about 45,700 Muslim adherents in Suffolk County and 43,900 in neighboring Middlesex.
Getting to Makkah from Boston
Start with the route that suits your household: the T, a Logan Express bus from the suburbs, or a ride from a relative. Terminal E is Logan's primary international terminal, but Massport says international departures can leave from any of its four terminals, so confirm yours with the airline before you set out. For Logan Express riders, Massport's advice is to add extra time at holidays and school vacations.
From Boston the flight plan tends to be one of two shapes. Either a short domestic hop to a gateway and then a long-haul leg through a European, Turkish or Gulf hub, or a connection straight from BOS. Depending on which, the total to Jeddah is likely to run somewhere around 15 to 23 hours. After landing, Makkah is still a road or rail transfer away.
Expect the time change to bite. Between March and early November the jump is 7 hours; in winter it's 8, since Massachusetts changes its clocks and Saudi Arabia, on UTC+3, never does.
Nor'easter season
Nor'easters can hit in any month, but the National Weather Service says they're most frequent and most violent from September to April, and that they typically reach peak strength near New England. They bring heavy rain or snow and gale-force winds. For a winter or early spring departure, keep a close watch on the forecast the week before, leave slack in the itinerary, and have the airline's app set up so any rebooking reaches you quickly.
Meeting pilgrims on the way home
Most international arrivals at Logan come through Terminal E for customs, and Massport tells families to wait on the first-floor arrivals level there once travelers have their bags and have cleared customs. Watch for the exception. Some flights clear US customs at the airport they left from, overseas, and Massport advises checking with the airline for details. Before the welcome party heads to Terminal E, confirm the flight number and where it's due to arrive.
An urgent passport at Causeway Street
The State Department's Boston Passport Agency is in the Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill Federal Building, 10 Causeway Street, Suite 247, next to North Station. It's open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, by appointment only, and closed on federal holidays. You qualify for an appointment with international travel within 14 calendar days, or if you need a foreign visa within 28. Appointments are made through the State Department's phone line, and the department says it never charges to book one.

Umrah from Boston: questions
Logan Express runs from four suburban sites, Braintree, Danvers, Framingham and Woburn, where you can park, plus a stop at Back Bay in the city. Massport says the buses go direct to the lower level of every Logan terminal, and it asks riders to allow enough time to park, buy tickets and load luggage before departure. For a family with a car and several suitcases, a suburban lot saves the drive into the city and a space in an airport garage.
Yes, and there are two ways. The Silver Line SL1 runs from South Station to all four terminals, A, B, C and E. The Blue Line goes to Airport station, where the free Massport Route 88 shuttle carries you to the terminals; Routes 22 and 33 also reach the terminals by way of the Rental Car Center. The SL1 has the advantage of no transfer, which helps if you're carrying checked bags.
Our 7-night flight-inclusive packages run from $1,590 to $1,890 per person on quad occupancy, with airfare, the e-visa, medical insurance, both hotels and the Haramain train inside that figure. Advertised prices are based on departures from JFK, IAD, ORD, ATL and LAX. Flying out of your city may add to the airfare, and we'll confirm exactly how much before you book anything.
