7 nights in all: 4 in Makkah and 3 in Madinah. Flights, visa, insurance, 5-star hotels and the Haramain high-speed train are already in the price.
Why perform Umrah in January?
January is where the value comes back. The winter-holiday rush clears out in the first week, prices fall away with it, and the Haram settles into something far calmer while the weather holds at its cool winter best. Nothing about the conditions is worse than December. The price simply is. For pilgrims with flexible dates who want winter weather without paying the winter-holiday premium, January is consistently one of the smartest months on the calendar to travel in.
- Winter weather without the winter-holiday premium
- Calmer Haram once the December rush clears out
- A deliberate way to begin the new year
- Rotana Jabal Omar under 2 minutes from the Haram and Pullman Zamzam under 1 minute from Masjid an-Nabawi, so the cold early mornings cost you almost no walking
Weather in January
Cool and comfortable through the day. Early mornings and evenings are properly cold, more so in Madinah than Makkah. For worship these are some of the best conditions of the whole year, as long as you have brought a jacket.

January 2027 Umrah: FAQs
It is one of the better-value months of the winter season, though we would not describe any Umrah as cheap. Prices ease as soon as the December holiday peak passes, while the weather stays cool and comfortable. You get winter conditions without paying the winter-break premium. That is the whole argument for January, and for a lot of pilgrims it is argument enough.
Days are mild and pleasant. It is the early mornings and the evenings that catch people out, and Madinah runs colder than Makkah. Standing outside for Fajr in a thin thobe or abaya is the mistake first-time winter pilgrims make every year. Bring a warm layer for Fajr and Isha, and pack it in your hand luggage rather than the hold.
Everything except your personal spending. That covers round-trip airfare from JFK, IAD, ORD, ATL, LAX, the Umrah e-visa, medical insurance, 4 nights in Makkah at Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah and 3 nights in Madinah at Pullman Zamzam Madinah, daily buffet breakfast, the Haramain high-speed train between the two cities, assisted transfers, and an Umrah guide with you throughout.
From $2,190 per person on quad occupancy, which means four of you sharing a room. Triple occupancy is $2,390 per person and double occupancy is $2,590 per person. Prices are based on departures from JFK, IAD, ORD, ATL and LAX. Other US departure cities may incur additional airfare.

What our pilgrims say
Rated 4.6/5 from 26 reviews on Trustpilot.
“My family and I (we're a family of four) recently traveled for Ziyara in Madinah and Umrah in Makkah, and we chose Qibla Gateway. In Makkah, we stayed in a 5-star hotel with a Qibla view, and in Madinah, a hotel overlooking the Haram. What Qibla Gateway really gave us was peace of mind — instead of worrying about logistics, we were able to focus on why we came in the first place.”
“Our Umrah experience with my family was very well organized and enjoyable. Everything was arranged smoothly, from transportation to accommodation, which made the journey stress-free and comfortable for all of us. The spiritual atmosphere was unforgettable, and we truly appreciated the care and support throughout the trip.”
“Alhamdulillah, we recently returned from our Umrah journey, and it was a truly transformative and unforgettable experience. We booked our package with Qibla Gateway and overall, their arrangements were excellent. Brother Asad Khan helped us a lot and made our journey easy and comfortable. Their professional and compassionate service allowed my family and me to focus fully on worship without any stress.”
